The 11-20 mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is the world’s first fast-aperture F/2.8 wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It has a MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.15m (5.9 in) at the widest end and 0.24m (9.4 in) at the 20 mm end. This makes it possible to take spectacular macro-shots. Because the fast-aperture lets you maintain a high shutter speed, shooting in dark conditions is not a problem. The model is light, compact, user-friendly and ideal for making dynamic video recordings. The AF drive system with an RXD (Rapid-eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor, accurately and quickly focuses on the subject with any shooting distance. Next to this, sounds of focusing will not be heard during recordings. The Moisture-Resistant Construction and Fluorine Coating offers extra protection when shooting outdoors.

The lens has a high resolution that focuses on superb image quality as a full-fledged ultra-wide-angle zoom with a fast aperture. The optical construction includes 12 elements in 10 groups. The two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements give high-resolution performance across the entire frame. Two LD (Low Dispersion) and one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens elements suppress the chromatic aberrations. These features give clear and crisp images.
